During the time I lived in Taiwan I had a pretty regular exercise routine. Although it varied over the years, and I tried many different things such as swimming, biking, cycling, yoga, taichi, tennis, running -and others I don’t even remember right now-, I always had the habit of working out a few times per week.
However, since I’ve come to Madrid it’s been harder for me to keep up with this. The list of reasons/excuses can be very long, so I’ll just skip that part, and I’ll say that I’m very proud that last week I started going for morning runs with Matsu. So far, I’ve achieved my goal of doing it every other day!!!
Why am I telling you this?
Because this “Chocolate and peanut butter smoothie” is one of my favorite things to have after a workout, a sort of reward I give myself for keeping my promise of staying fit.
500 ml. unsweetened almond or oat milk
3 Medjoul dates (pitted)
2 tsp. cacao powder
1 tbsp. unsweetened peanut butter
2 ripe bananas
Put all the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.
